Horse Sport Ireland released a statement confirming the teen had died after the incident.
They said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the young rider who was a much loved member of the equestrian community."
The coroner was informed last night of the tragedy by Gardaí, and the Health and Safety Authority has also been notified and are preparing an examination of the incident.
Gardaí investigations are currently underway and a file, last night, was being prepared for the Coroner's Court.
The Gardaí said in a statement issued to the Irish Independent : "Dublin Fire Brigade and the National Ambulance Service were in attendance and providing medical assistance to a young female (15 years) who was injured during an exercise event.
