The Daily Mail’s Brexit result front page is a new low…

The Brexit fiasco unsurprisingly is the topic of conversation for a second day, as the news that Britain has voted to leave the European Union sinks in.

By a margin of 51.9% to 48.1%, the people of the United Kingdom supported the motion to withdraw from the EU. The backlash of the result was immediate, as British Sterling hit its lowest value in 31 years, David Cameron resigned as Prime Minister, and France overtook the UK as the world's fifth largest economy. The decision is being jeered at globally and so too has its front page coverage in Britain's main media outlets. Instead of touching on the Economic chaos, David Cameron's resignation, or Nigel Farage rolling back on the 'Leave' campaigns £350 million NHS promise on live TV, the focus was on the "day quiet people of Britain rose up against an arrogant, out-of-touch political class and a contemptuous Brussels elite”. The outlet's former political editor, James Chapman, criticised the front page in a tweet that highlighted the reaction of his six-year-old son.
