After the accident, Oliver was taken to Midlands Regional Hospital.
However, he was later transferred to Crumlin Children's Hospital.
Unfortunately, the 6-year-old didn't make it and was pronounced dead on May 31st.
Gardaí are investigating the incident, but they are treating it as a tragic accident.
A file has been prepared for the Coroner's Court.
