Two people rescued from car that entered water in Antrim

The incident happened overnight.

Two people have been rescued after a crash in Co Antrim when a car ended up in a body of water. Emergency services were rushed to the scene near Doagh on Sunday night, with The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, PSNI and the NI Ambulance Service attending the incident. According to Belfast Live, two people inside the car were rescued and bought to safety after the car entered the water. A post by the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service read: "Crews from Ballyclare and Antrim stations and NIFRS Specialist Rescue Team attended an RTC on the outskirts of Doagh, rescuing 2 members of the public with the assistance of the Ambulance Service and their Hazard Area Response Team and PSNI. "Thanks to the ‘Fire Emergency Support Services’ (FESS) vehicle which also attended."
