According to Metro, Brendan Cox was giving an impassioned speech about his wife, saying she was nothing without her beliefs and if she were still alive, she'd be campaigning for a Remain vote in the Brexit referendum.
Jo Cox was a known advocate for the rights of refugees and her stellar work for Vote Remain made her one of the country's most hard-working politicians.
At the event, spectators were left hurt and angry at the sight of Vote Leave planes flying over the perimeter of Trafalgar Square.

As well as being incredibly disrespectful, flying a leave banner over Jo Cox's tribute is about as stupid as it gets publicity wise.

"I looked at it and thought, that doesn’t make any sense... "Does that really say Vote Leave? And so I tried to get a picture of it. "But then it flew over a second time during another moment during the memorial service, and then it flew over a third time and I just couldn’t believe it."The Vote Leave campaign have not yet commented on the matter.
