A fog warning was issued in the early hours of this morning for Westmeath, Meath, Cavan, Monaghan, Longford, Louth, and Offaly as well as all six counties in Munster and all five in Connacht.
But it appears that things are only expected to get worse as Met Éireann also shared a tweet warning of bad weather ahead.
The tweet reads: "On Thursday night and during Friday, a deepening Low-Pressure system is forecast to track close to Ireland. Very strong winds are likely across the country with the potential for damaging wind gusts and disruption in places. High seas and spells of heavy rain are expected also.
"Met Éireann is continuously monitoring the evolving situation and weather warnings will be issued as confidence in the forecast track/intensity of the Low-Pressure system improves."
The statement advises people to check met.ie for updates to the forecast over the next few days.
Ireland's favourite weather expert, Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather, also commented on the potential incoming storms, writing: "Latest charts for potential storm Friday still show a rage of tracks and timings with some more severe and some less severe depending on the track this system takes.
"There is also risk of more storms next Monday and Wednesday as the conveyor belt of storms in the Atlantic starts up.
"Spells of heavy rain likely with these systems and chance of some hill snow for a time too before turning to rain."
He added: "Met Éireann have issued an advisory now for the risk of storm Thursday night into Friday. The UK Met Office has issued yellow warnings for Friday and Saturday also. Details will chop and change so keep up to date with forecasts this week."
Worth keeping an eye out.
