A spokesperson said: "We are appealing for information following the theft of an award-winning rabbit from its home in Stoulton, Worcestershire.
"It is believed the continental giant rabbit was stolen from its enclosure in the garden of the property of its owners overnight on Saturday 10 April to 11 April."
Darius received his status as the world's largest bunny in 2010. The previous title was held by his mother, Alice, who Darius subsequently overtook.
His owner has a number of record-breaking rabbits.
Annette told The Sun that she believes Darius was snatched by rival pet breeders, as they knew where to find him.
She told the publication that they regularly move Darius' location around "to keep thieves guessing".
"Someone knew what they were doing," she said. "He was stolen to order."
