Here’s when Meghan Markle’s clothing range is going to be released

A lot soon than we expected.

The launch date for Meghan Markle's clothing collaboration with Smart Works has been revealed. Royal reporter Omid Scobie took to Twitter this afternoon to reveal the capsule collection - which is being done in partnership with Misha Nonoo, Marks and Spencer, John Lewis and Jigsaw - will launch on September 12. The workwear essentials range will be reportedly available for "at least" two weeks, and will include a shirt, trousers, a blazer, dress and bag. Earlier this summer, it was announced the Duchess of Sussex has teamed up with a number of leading retailers including Marks and Spencer, John Lewis and Jigsaw for the range. Misha Nonoo, one of Meghan's close friends, is the fourth brand coming on board and as fans of the Duchess will know, she regularly wears Misha's designs, most notably for one of her first public appearances with Prince Harry.

Proceeds from the fashion line will go to Smart Works, a charity that helps unemployed women with job opportunities, including interview preparation and styling sessions. Before a job interview, Smart Works provides a two-hour session that consists of two parts, assistance with choosing a free outfit suitable for a job interview and a coaching session to prepare for the interview itself. The Sussexes official Instagram account confirmed the news, explaining how the Duchess had been "move by the impactful work" being done by the non-profit organisation. They wrote:

"We are proud to be supporting a very special initiative this autumn for @SmartWorksCharity! "After quiet visits to Smartworks over the last year, The Duchess was moved by the impactful work being done by this non profit organisation that helps women into the workforce, equipping them with both the skills and clothes they need to feel job-ready. "Throughout her visits she noticed that while the donations were plentiful, they were also notably a combination of mismatched items and colours which weren’t always the right stylistic choices or sizes that didn’t necessarily “suit” the job at hand: to make a woman feel confident and inspired as she walked into her job interview."
