One other thing that also happened was Tiffany Haddish giving the middle finger to Hollywood and award show culture in general by wearing a dress that she had worn not once, but twice before.
Now, to you or us, wearing a dress multiple times in your life is not the biggest deal in the world.
We probably can't count on two hands the number of times we've worn the exact same outfit on a night out because we didn't get enough pics last time, not enough people complimented it or quite simply, because clothes are expensive and we couldn't be bothered buying more of them.
If that outfit in question was a $4,000 Alexander McQueen dress, you know we'd be wearing it down the shops if we could.
And that's why Tiffany Haddish decided to wear her dress for a third time last night, despite it being very 'taboo' to do at awards shows.
During her opening monologue for SNL where she wore the dress the second time, she said:
"My whole team told me, 'Tiffany, you cannot wear that dress on 'SNL,' you already wore it. It's taboo to wear it twice. "I said, 'I don't give a dang about no taboo, I spent a lot of money on this dress. This dress cost way more than my mortgage."A fair enough point. Plus, the dress is stunning, so why not get as much wear out of it as you possibly can?
Tiffany went on:
"If I die and even if I become fat as hell - if I'm the biggest, fattest - I don't care. When I'm laying in that casket, guess what's going to be laying on top of my fat-ass body? This dress."The true queen of women who recycle outfits everywhere. Tiffany appeared in the dress while presenting an award with Maya Rudolph. The pair walked on stage wearing slippers and carrying their heels in their hands alá the gals who left Coppers early to go grab a hot chicken roll in Spar.
Except more glam than we will ever be.
Earlier in the night on the red carpet, Tiffany wore a floor-length traditional Eritrean dress.
The outfit was in memory of her father who died last year.
