Love Island’s Anton’s mum has spoken about shaving his bum and somehow made it worse

Anton having his mum shave his arse has become one of the running jokes of this year's Love Island.

It's tickled viewers, baffled his fellow Islanders and probably hasn't helped his chances with the girls in the villa either. His mum has now chipped in to defend this strange act of maternal care. Sherie Ann Danyluk told the Daily Record that it's "the least" she could do for him.

"It’s something I do every couple of weeks and it’s no big deal in our house," she told the Daily Record. "At the end of the day, I used to change his nappies so shaving his bum is nothing. "What’s the difference in that and taking a bit of hair away from his backside? We are really close and it’s the least I can do for him.”

Somehow we don't think she's helping his case. Continuing, Sherie Ann said she was delighted that Anton has become so popular with viewers. The 24-year-old got flak at the beginning of the series for boasting that he'd been unfaithful to all of his previous girlfriends.

“I can understand why his VT gave folk the wrong impression to begin with but Anton is very honest and the first to put his hand up if he has cheated. “I don’t think people are used to someone who is so blatantly truthful about these types of things. “His compassionate behaviour towards the others has shown what a caring guy he is. He is beautiful inside and out.”
