‘Aoife and baby doing brilliantly’ – Brian Dowling gives sweet update on baby #2

Brian Dowling is set to become a dad-of-two

The dad's sister Aoife is their surrogate and is doing brilliantly, according to the TV star.

He told his followers that Aoife came out of a scan on Thursday morning and they're incredibly happy with how they're doing.

"We are just out from the scan and I can confirm that both Aoife and baby are doing brilliantly," he said.

Brian's sister Aoife decided to take a step back from social media during the second pregnancy because she faced such harrowing abuse last time.

Brian recently opened up about his sister in an interview with The Irish Sun.

He told the publication: "She’s way more tired this time. We obviously went through a lot of it the last time, with the negativity and the trolling.

"So this time Aoife has made a conscious decision not to be so obvious on Instagram because she got a bit of a hard time."

It's heartbreaking to see Aoife take such a tough step but protecting her mental health during pregnancy is so important.

There's no doubt her wellbeing is far more important than spending time on social media.

Brian said this pregnancy has been so different for her, but she is doing incredibly well.

He added: "So this time Aoife said to us, 'Listen I'd rather if I just step back a little bit. We obviously have to respect that."

Brian said his sister is "just amazing" for what she's doing for him and Arthur.

His sister was also surrogate for their first child Blake.
