Apparently, Meghan Markle may break a big royal tradition when she gives birth

Meghan Markle reportedly may make a break from royal tradition when she gives birth to her first child next year.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to welcome their first child in spring 2019. Although the mum-to-be's due date remains a closely guarded secret, many royal family fans believe it is in April or May. And now sources told Vanity Fair that the parents-to-be are looking at "options" for the birth of their first child. This means that they may not choose the Lindo Wing, the private maternity wing where Kate Middleton gave birth to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. It is also where Prince William and Prince Harry were both born. Instead, the publication report that there is "some talk" of Meghan opting for a home birth - although since it is her first child, doctors would likely advise her to give birth at the hospital. They report that sources also said the couple could consider a hospital in Windsor, where they are likely to be living at the time. However, one thing is clear: Meghan's mum, Doria Ragland, is going to be around "a lot" after the baby's arrival. A source added:

“Doria plans to be around a lot when the baby arrives, and there are plans for her to have a dedicated space at their new home. “She wants to be on hand to help Meghan and Harry with the baby. Doria will be involved and if she’s involved she will be encouraging Meg to go for a natural birth.”
