‘A parent trying their best’ – Brian Dowling hits out at dad-shaming trolls

Brian Dowling has been forced to stand up to the trolls yet again

Brian was able to spend the summer at home following the birth of his second daughter Blu.

However, he has since returned to his hosting duties with Virgin Media One.

Speaking about the new chapter, the proud dad-of-two admitted he's just trying his best.

Dowling said returning to a regular routine with two children hasn't been easy.

"There have been tears, tantrums & early starts this week & that’s just from me," he shared.

Alongside photos taken by his daughter Blake, Brian confessed that he's just trying his best.

"What you are looking at is a parent trying their best to get it right. Trying their best not to feel guilty, they work the hours they do, trying to make the most of the weekend for themselves, their children & their family," he said.

"Listen, I’ve said it before: all we can do is our best & let’s be honest, make it up as we go along.

"I’ve learned recently on here & on other social media platforms that everyone has an opinion on parenting, but more personally, how I parent my 2 girls.

"It’s been disrespectful, hurtful & more importantly, COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE & INACCURATE," Brian wrote.

The dad admitted he understands that some of these comments come with his chosen career, but urged people to think before they type.
