Brian Dowling gets emotional as daughter Blake marks huge milestone

Brian Dowling's eldest daughter is starting playschool

It's an emotional day for both the parents and the children as they set off on a new chapter, and your house feels that little bit quieter for a few hours of the day.

One parent who knows how emotional this day can be is Brian Dowling.

The proud dad revealed that his little girl, Blake, started playschool this week, and it's safe to say it was an emotional morning for Brian and his husband, Arthur.

Alongside a series of photos from Blake's first day of playschool, the dad wrote:

"August 28th, 2025, is a day we will remember forever. Blake Maria Rose has officially started Play School.

"She could not wait to go in, and all she could talk about this morning was teacher Orla.

The dad added, "There were tears this morning, and they were from Tati and I.

"Blake was a little superstar. Peppa Pig bag on her back, and away she went."

"Bring on the next 16 years or so for Arthur and I. I think Blu realised this morning that she’s next in 2 years!!" he concluded.

The huge family update comes after Brian and Arthur celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary by renewing their vows.

The dads were joined by their nearest and dearest at a lavish Powerscourt Estate in Enniskerry.

A decade after their 2015 wedding, Brian and Arthur celebrated their marriage by saying ‘I do’ again. Their daughters, Blake and Blu, were also there to celebrate the special day with their dads.
