Britney Spears “in talks” to do sit down interview with Piers Morgan

She's willing to speak openly.

Britney Spears is reportedly in talks with Piers Morgan to organise a sit down interview for the first time since her conservatorship ended. The singer was put under a conservatorship in 2008 after suffering from mental health issues and it allowed her father to take control of her finances and decisions. This allowed for her estate, financial assets, and some personal assets to be put under the control of her father Jamie, and lawyer Andrew Wallet, who later resigned from the role. Conservatorships are typically granted to those who are unable to make their own decisions and need the help of someone else. After a long battle in court, the conservatorship was officially terminated by Judge Brenda Penny in November 2021. While Britney has been very vocal on social media since, she has yet to give the full details of her life over the last 13 years and spoken in an interview setting about the ordeal. The Mirror is now reporting that Britney is considering having a televised conversation with Piers Morgan as he is set to host his own weeknight show on talkTV. An inside told the outlet: “She’s one of the biggest names in showbiz with a fascinating story to tell.” “Piers would love to sit down with Britney – as would his former employees ITV – so it would be a major coup for him. And he wants to start with a bang.” While nothing has been confirmed yet, Britney has made it clear that she is willing to speak openly about the conservatorship and even hinted at plans to do an interview with Oprah about it. It is now believed that Piers is her first choice for the interview after he publically supported her during her court battle. The TV host published a column for MailOnline in June 2021 calling for her conservatorship to end, deeming her to be a "legal slave" and that she “must be freed from this torment to finally live the life she wants.”
