Britney’s manager Larry Rudolph resigns after 25 years

He outlined that Britney plans on officially retiring.

Britney Spears' longtime manager Larry Rudolph has resigned. Mr Rudolph, who has been managing Britney's career since the '90s, has said that he hasn't had contact with the singer in two and half years. His resignation comes after the singer said she plans on retiring from music. In a letter addressed to Britney's co-conservators, Jamie Spears and Jodi Montgomery, Rudolph wrote: "It has been over 2 1/2 years since Britney and I communicated, at which time she informed me she wanted to take an indefinite work hiatus. "Earlier today, I became aware that Britney had been voicing her intention to officially retire. "As you know, I have never been a part of the conservatorship nor its operations, so I am not privy to many of these details. I was originally hired at Britney’s request to help manage and assist her with her career. "As her manager, I believe it is in Britney's best interest for me to resign from her team as my professional services are no longer needed." He added: "I will always be incredibly proud of what we accomplished over our 25 years together. I wish her all the health and happiness in the world, and I'll be there for her if she ever needs me again." Rudolph served as Britney's manager throughout the majority of her career. His resignation comes just two weeks after Britney read a powerful testimony in court, detailing her experience of the conservatorship. The singer stressed the physical and emotional toll the legal arrangement has taken on her. "I’m not happy, I can’t sleep, I’m depressed, I cry every day," she said. "I truly believe this conservatorship is abusive. My request is to end the conservatorship without being evaluated like before." Earlier this week, the firm that manages the financial element of Britney's conservatorship withdrew from the arrangement.
