Cheryl shares her six-year-old son with Liam Payne

The singer is a mum to one six-year-old, whom she shares with former One Direction star, Liam Payne.

The 'Call the Shots' singer said her son is now aware of how famous his parents are.

In an interview with British Vogue, Cheryl revealed that Bear thinks it's "pretty cool" that his parents are famous.

She said she doesn't want her status to take away from him having a normal childhood.

Cheryl admitted she is worried about people recognising her son on the street, which is why she rarely shows photos of him. She often covers his face when posting about him on her social media accounts.

The singer said: "The problem is that I want Bear to have a normal childhood. I don't want people recognising him on the street. But he's twigged that I'm famous. The other day he said ‘How lucky am I to have famous parents?’ I said, ‘It doesn't matter.’ He goes: ‘Yeah. But it's pretty cool’."

The mum gave birth to her son in March 2017.

However, Cheryl and Liam Payne ended their relationship in the summer of 2018.

The singers said splitting up was a very difficult decision for them to make, but it was the right one.

In a joint statement in 2018, they said that Bear will always be their main priority.

The couple also said they will never let their relationship status get in the way of raising their son.

They shared: "We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together."

Cheryl and Liam Payne remained together until July 2018, but have agreed to co-parent their son.
