Add us as a preferred source on Google »The Dancing with the Stars alum, Derek Hough, has revealed his wife Hayley underwent emergency brain surgery last night.
The professional dancer's wife fell ill after a performance in Washington last night.
Derek said she was rushed to the hospital where doctors performed an emergency craniectomy.
The dancer said his wife is in a stable condition, but asked his fans to pray for her as she recovers.
Derek stated: "At the end of last night's tour performance in Washington D.C., my wife Hayley became disoriented and was taken to the hospital.
"She was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel and required an emergency craniectomy."
He then confirmed: "She is in a stable condition."
Hough praised the incredible healthcare workers who took such good care of Hayley during such a distressing time.
"I want to thank the first responders and medical personnel who have cared for and continue to care for her.
"I ask for your prayers and positivity during this time," he added.
His sister and fellow dancer, Julianne Hough also asked people to pray for Hayley.
She wrote on Instagram: "Please pray and send all your love, healing, and light to Hayley and Derek. Thank you from the depths of our families' hearts!"
Derek and Hayley have been together since 2015.
The couple tied the knot this August in a beautiful ceremony in a redwood forest in Northern California.
