Elon Musk confirms he has just welcomed his 12th child

This is Elon Musk's third child with Sharon Zilis, an executive that works at his company Neuralink.

As the name and gender of the baby are still unknown, media outlets were quick to press questions given his lack of public announcement.

However, the Tesla founder denied it being a secret, and said all of their friends and family knew.

"Failure to issue a press release, which would be bizarre, does not mean 'secret'," he told Page Six.

Musk and his partner also welcomed twins, Strider and Azure, in November 2021.

He also has three children with singer Grimes, and a pair of twins and triplets from two other relationships.

Musk has been vocal in the past about population decline, calling it "the biggest danger civilisation faces by far."

Speaking to Page Six, he voiced his concerns on the current population numbers:

"Many countries are already well below replacement rate, and the trend is that almost all will be.

"2.1 kids is replacement rate, and obviously the world as a whole will soon drop below that point."

Along with furthering the tech industry, Elon Musk says his goal in life is to have as many children as possible and "be a good father."
