Elon Musk is being hit with backlash yet again

Last night, Swift penned a lengthy statement on Instagram about why she will be voting for Harris.

Writing on her Instagram, she encouraged her followers to research the issues at hand before voting.

"As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.

"Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation.

"It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth."

Swift confirmed: "I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election."

She explained: "I’m voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.

Swift added: "We can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos."

The Lavender Haze singer signed the post as Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady.

Swift was praised for finally taking a stance on something, but Elon Musk was quick to tear her down.

Following her statement, he wrote on X: "Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life."

The tweet was unsurprisingly met with waves of backlash.

"This might genuinely be the worst thing he has ever tweeted. Just a disgusting pig with zero respect for women," one person wrote.

One also wrote: "Imagine posting "I'm an educated voter, here are my findings, now go educate yourselves to make an informed choice" and suddenly elon musk is saying he wants to impregnate you. disgusting."

Elon Musk's tweet is nothing but disturbing and demeaning. It is at least reassuring to see him face backlash for this, but when will misogynistic comments like this end?
