Emily Atack addresses engagement rumours as she confirms new romance

Emily Atack has confirmed her relationship with film producer Rob Jowers...and sparked engagement rumours at the same time.

The former Inbetweeners actress shared a photo of the two of them out enjoying the Easter Bank Holiday sunshine, wishing her fans a "Happy Easter one n’all." However, eagle-eyed fans spotted the ring on Emily's hand and became convinced that the I'm A Celeb star had some other news to share. "Is that an engagement ring? Am I being blind or far behind?" Someone wrote underneath the photo. "Engaged?!" one fan commented, while another asked: "Are you two engaged?? So happy for u Em." A few hours later, Emily took to her Instagram Story to clarify what really had happened. She said:

"By the way I’m not engaged. The picture had flipped around like it does. ‘I have a ring here on my right hand which is the other side. "Stop scaring him off, he is a new boyfriend. He’s gonna get very scared."

The pair were photographed holding hands on a date night in London earlier this month. They met through friends, reports The Sun. A source said:

"Emily has been so busy with work that she hasn’t really had time for dating. “But she met Rob through friends and they have recently spent a lot of time together. “They are getting on really well and having a lot of fun. "Emily is super-happy at the moment — it’s an incredibly exciting time for her."
