Glee’s Naya Rivera opens up about having an abortion

The actress played Santana on Glee for 6 years.

Naya Rivera has written a new autobiography titled Sorry Not Sorry, in which she discusses much of her personal life. Naya fell pregnant in 2010 while she was starring in the musical show Glee. She found out that she was pregnant just weeks after splitting up from her boyfriend, actor Ryan Dorsey. She chose to have an abortion. Speaking to People magazine she said:

"It was very scary to open up about everything." "It's not something a lot of people talk about, but I think they should. I know some people might read it and say, 'What the Hell?' But I hope someone out there gets something out of it."

Naya who went onto marry Ryan Dorsey in 2014, gave birth to her son Josey last September. Speaking about her new memoir Naya said: "I hope Josey will read it one day," "I hope it gives him a better perspective on the issues women face." Her book, Sorry Not Sorry is available from September 13th.
