Harry and Meghan won’t be celebrating their engagement anniversary and here’s why

This month marks the first year anniversary of the couple's engagement announcement.

We can't quite believe it, but November last year was when Harry and Meghan announced their engagement. The royal couple has been married for six months and celebrated this milestone by attending The Royal Variety Show together. It has been a whirlwind six months for the pair who tied the knot on 19 May at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. They have had an abundance of UK engagements, overseas trips, a 16-day royal tour and lastly, the announcement of their royal baby, due in spring 2019. Unfortunately, due to work commitments, Harry will not be with his wife to celebrate the occasion. According to Express, Prince Harry will be visting Zambia at the request of the UK's Foreign Office on 26 November and 27 - the day he and Meghan announced their engagement. However, Meghan - who is approximately four months pregnant - will not be joining her husband on the trip. The publication reported that:

"Upon the request of the Foreign Office, Harry, who is Commonwealth's youth ambassador, will be attending a series of royal engagements in Zambia on his own."

Harry has a full schedule for his trip to Zambia, including a visit to Burma Barracks to attend an event commemorating WWI and WWII Zambian veterans.

While it's unclear as to why Meghan won't be accompanying Harry on the trip, most people are speculating that it has to do with her pregnancy. In any case, maybe Harry will pick her up an "I heart Zambia" t-shirt to mark their anniversary. You never know!
