Our hearts are with Malin Andersson as she announces the death of her baby

Utterly tragic news.

What should have been a joyous time for Malin Andersson, who announced the birth of her baby girl on December 23 has sadly taken a turn for the worst as she announced the death of her firstborn this morning. Malin had named her little girl Consy, after her late mother. The infant was born seven weeks before her due date and required specialized care due to complications at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. The former Love Island contestant took to Instagram this morning to announce the harrowing news. She said:

"Completely in love with you.. and my Mum just wanted you to be with her. Your time wasn’t ready yet. Mummy loves you. I stayed with you each day.. you opened your eyes one last time for me and I saw those beautiful big brown eyes. I’m so sorry I couldn’t do anymore. Go be with grandma Consy. My angel. Rest in peace CONSY GLORIA EMMA ANDERSSON-KEMP ?? 23/12/18-22/01/19."

Baby Consy was fighting every day for her life and Malin thanked people for their support. This loss follows the death of her mother last year, but she said the grief is different as her mum was "ready to go" but her little girl wasn't. Our thoughts are with Malin and her partner time at this very difficult time.
