Heidi Pratt ‘died for a minute’ after her 10 plastic surgery procedures in 2009

"Spencer thought he lost me."

Heidi Pratt has told how she "died for a minute" after she underwent 10 plastic surgery procedures in under 24 hours. The mum-of-one recently opened up about the painful recovery period she went through following the procedures in 2009 - and how she feels about them now. She recalled to Paper magazine:

"Spencer thought he lost me. "I died for a minute. With that much surgery, I had to have 24-hour nurse care and Spencer didn't want to leave my side. "I was at a recovery center and had Demerol to deal with the pain because it was so extreme. "My security guards called Spencer and told him, 'Heidi's heart stopped. She's not going to make it.' "And I easily could've. "Cutting yourself up isn't something I'd recommend, and Demerol isn't anything to play around with. That's how Michael Jackson died."

Despite the terrifying experience, Heidi says that a lot of positive experience came out of having the ten surgeries. She continued:

"A lot of positive things came out of that. I had to look at myself in the mirror every day healing, and be like, 'What did I do to myself? How did I get here? What is going on?' "I basically had to hit that rock-bottom moment in my life, to realize what was important to me."

Heidi and Spencer welcomed their first child, a little boy named Gunner Stone, late last year. And the new mum told how creating good opportunities for her son is the top priority for her at the moment. She told Paper that they may move to Colorado "and raise him with different values", or possible end up staying in California "where you're not as sheltered". But the former reality TV star is certain of one thing: she wants him to grow up without living in the shadow of his parents. She continued:

"I just want him to enjoy his life, and not live in his parents' mistakes or shadows."
