Insiders said they'd have to "dream up the Disney story of the ages" to win over the public following the affair.

It is understood that the couple's friendship turned romantic when they were working on Broadway together but they were both married at the time.

Hugh Jackman and Deborra confirmed they were separating in September 2023.

Foster filed for divorce from screenwriter Ted Griffin on October 25th, 2023.

The couple are reportedly "very happy" but have not yet made their relationship privacy amid fears of backlash.

A source told US Weekly, "A lot of people on Broadway knew, and we kept it quiet because both of them are so nice and great people. Everyone respected their privacy. But there was an affair and overlap."

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness met in 1995 and tied the knot a year later in 1996.

The couple share two children, a son and a daughter.
