Laura Whitmore was officially confirmed as the host of winter Love Island on Friday morning.
The Irish born presenter will be taking over from Caroline Flack from the upcoming series of the show, which is due to kick off on January 12.
Flack stepped down from presenting duties early this week following her recent assault charge. The 40-year-old took to her Instagram Stories after the news of Whitmore's appointment to give the Irish born presenter her blessing.
"I'm glad it's Laura," she wrote. "She loves the show as much as I do."
"Again, thank you for you [sic] continuous messages of support. It's a really rough time, but I'm doing all I can to keep my head above water and sort this all out."
