I’m A Celeb winner Jill Scott reveals wedding plans with fiancée Shelly

Wedding bells are on the horizon.

I'm A Celeb winner Jill Scott has opened up about the next steps in her life as she plans her wedding with fiancée Shelly Unitt. After being crowned Queen of the Jungle, the 35 year old revealed that wedding bells are very much so in the near future. The footballer and the community health officer have been together for over six years are ar now looking to set a date for their big day. Speaking to The Daily Mail in her first interview since winning the ITV series, Jill said: "We got engaged two years ago and Covid hit us, so I think we need to get some planning in place. "It will be nice. "We need to sit down and just catch up on the last five weeks and what's happened but obviously getting engaged, the next plan is to wed." Shutting down speculation that the two are going to get married while in Australia, Jill said there is no chance of a jungle wedding in the near future. The couple are known to keep their relationship very private, with it assumed that the two met through Shelley's sister and Jill's former England teammate Rachel Unitt. For her victory lap around the I'm A Celeb studio after winning the show, Jill crossed the infamous rope bridge and was met by her partner, Shelly. Incidentally, Jill's win is historic, as she is the first LGBT+ woman to be crowned the I'm A Celeb champ. During her time in the jungle, Jill spoke about how LGBT+ players are treated in football, and how there is a huge gulf between women's and men's football. "I think in the men's game, (coming out) it's so difficult," she told her campmates during an earlier episode. "If you think about how much stick they get from the chants… it’s just not a safe environment where they feel safe enough to kind of do that. And that’s so sad. "But in women’s football it’s just never an issue. Some have partners that are female, some are married to men."
