Irish Actress Leigh Arnold And Husband Welcome A Baby Girl

Irish actress and blogger Leigh Arnold has welcomed a baby daughter with her husband Steve Davies.  The former Clinic star announced the happy news on her blog www.leigharnold.ie this week. Piper Rose was born on Thursday (image via leigharnold.ie)  She wrote: "On Thursday 17th September we welcomed our beautiful daughter Piper Rose Davies to the world. She was born at 11.30am weighing 8lb1oz.

"Mummy and baby girl are both doing great and big brother Hunter is over the moon."

Leigh and Steve married in 2014. 

The 35-year-old opened up about choosing a name for her baby girl during her pregnancy.

She wrote: “Any name I have come up with has either been met with a ‘You can’t do that to the poor child’ from my mum or ‘Can’t you just find something normal like Jack or Charlotte’ from my dad.

"We will decide on the name of our little one when we meet them and even more hippy, we will wait to see what name suits them and we believe they want".

The actress announced the news on her blog. 

Leigh and Steve are already parents to three-year-old Hunter, and tragically lost their second son Flynn to cot death in 2013 when he was just two weeks old.

Speaking about her heartbreak at the time, Leigh told VIP Magazine: "You realise what matters and who matters in life."

Based on her experiences, the Dubliner is currently writing a book about love, life and loss.

She told the publication: "I started a while back, just writing thoughts down again for a healing purposes, and it just started going places.

"I haven't been in touch with a publishing house yet but I hope to finish it by the end of the summer."
