Joe Wicks slated over “concerning” photo of his baby girl

Joe Wicks has been called out over a photo of his 7-month-old daughter.

A photo of Joe Wicks' daughter, who is only 7 months old, has been hit with waves of backlash. BBC Breakfast's Sally Nugent has revealed that she struggled to look at the now-controversial photo Joe Wicks posted of his baby daughter. Saying that it made her "very, very anxious", Sally discussed the controversy around the image on the BBC show after it sparked a massive debate online. The Body Coach posted a picture with his seven-month-old daughter Leni where she is hanging from a pull-up bar on a beach in Santa Monica. The photo sparked some backlash, with Sally saying she "can’t watch this" while her co-host Jon Kay said he had "concerns" about the image. Sally said: "That makes me very, very anxious."

"It’s made a lot of people anxious hasn’t it," Jon agreed.

Joe suffered a lot of backlash after posting the photo, with many people concerned about his child's wellbeing. One follower wrote: "Is that safe for her shoulders and joints to hang onto bars supporting her own weight like that?" Another said: "That’s so wrong, any person with common sense would not let 7 month old hanging on the bar like this. Clearly shows how poor your knowledge about body and health is not to mention how irresponsible a parent you are. Poor kid." Others defended the 37-year-old, with one saying: "That's a strong baby right there." Another added: "I love how you let them take risks, most people would flap if their children were on the wrong side of a railing on the steps, give them credit for their own risk assessing, gives them confidence and wisdom." While some assumed it was photoshopped, The Little Gym commented to share some insight, saying: "Future @thelittlegymuk baby right there. For those questioning, if it’s photoshopped, our classes start at 4 months and babies can absolutely grasp and hang this little."
