Johnny Depp releases statement about divorce with Amber Heard

Johnny Depp has broken his silence over the split.  Earlier this week the news broke about Amber Heard and Johnny Depp seeking a divorce. Just a few days after the death of Johnny's mum, they announced their split, citing irreconcilable differences. The actress filed for divorce just a year of marriage and now Johnny has issued a statement of his own. According to E!Online, the actor's rep released the following statement:

"Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly."

The pair reportedly never agreed a prenuptial agreement. Heard is apparently asking for spousal support, but Johnny has asked the judge to reject her request.
