The rapper is said to have been working away for the last number of months on his latest venture.

The Sun reports that the media mogul has already set up a demo website for a news channel, which his team has been using to test their production.

A source told the outlet that those closest to Ye are surprised by the career move.

"Ye is hugely ambitious but even his inner circle was shocked by these plans. He is convinced it could be a huge success if he does it the right way and his team has secretly been working on it for months.

“Ye’s plan is to give people something different than they get from the mainstream. It would be launched in the United States but his fans could tune in from anywhere around the world.

"Ye is really invested in this project and has a team testing the production daily. If he manages to pull this off it has the potential to become absolutely massive," the source added.

This is Kanye's way of getting 'his voice out there'

This comes after the rapper made multiple anti-Semitic comments, prompting several broadcasters to stop giving him any air time.

It also saw a number of his interviews scrapped, with the source saying this is Ye's way of making sure he can get his voice out there again.

Fans of the Ye's music will also welcome the news that the 'Heartless' rapper is also reportedly working on a new album.

The publication has reported that the 46-year-old has joined forces with TY DOLLA $IGN for the record, which insiders tease could be released within weeks.

It was originally expected to drop in October but was delayed.

This comes following the unveiling of a track from it called 'Vultures' at London Fashion Week.
