The star, known for her role as Lucy in the hit sitcom, revealed she had been diagnosed with lung cancer.
Fortunately, Kate has now revealed she is 'cancer-free' following a successful surgery.
Taking to TikTok, the actress thanked those who sent good wishes and love her way after she opened up about her diagnosis.
“It meant so much to me and really came at a time that I really needed it so thank you.”
“I have great news, which is that I am cancer free! The surgery last week went great. All the reports came back that it worked, I don’t need to do any other treatment.”
Kate also expressed her sincere gratitude to the medical professionals who took care of her and detected the cancer in its early stages.
"So big thank you to all my doctors and nurses and everyone that took just really great care of me. And thanks to figuring it out early because I am very very lucky and I know that.
“I’m just really grateful that things worked out as they did. I’m feeling really good today and I’m honestly just so excited and truly grateful.
"So thank you all for all the prayers and wishes. I’m just glad I can report some good news to you.”
The actress also shared that she is 'excited to hang with my little boy for Christmas', with the clip showing her 3-year-old son running towards the camera to give his mum a kiss.
This comes after the mum-of-one's heartbreaking announcement last week that she was in the hospital after surgery.
Kate reflected on her diagnosis, which she shared publicly for the first time last week.
“Hey everybody, this is not a TikTok, it's a ‘Sick Tok,’” she said. “I’m in the hospital but it’s because I had lung cancer surgery yesterday. They caught it really early.”
“It’s really weird, because I’ve never smoked a cigarette in my life so uh, you know, it was a surprise. But also I guess, also, it happens and so the greatest news is they caught it early, they got it out, I’m all good.
“It’s been a little bit of a trip and [I’ll] probably be moving slow for a few weeks but then I’ll be back at it.”
Responding to a user who asked which symptoms prompted her to see a doctor.
Kate later shared that it was high CRP levels.
“I had one thing in my bloodwork that came back really high.
“So I went to a preventative doc who did a few scans. He scanned my heart and that’s where the spot in my lung was noticed.”
Great to see Kate is on the mend!
