Kate Middleton wants George, Charlotte and Louis to spend more time with their cousin Archie

They did not spend Christmas together, but it seems royal mum-of-three, Kate Middleton, hopes that 2020 will bring plenty of cousin play-time for her kids and their baby cousin, Archie Harrison.

According to Us Weekly, a source close to the royals could reveal that the duchess, 37, is “hoping that in the new year, the cousins will spend more time together,” noting that her three kids “adore” Archie, but “like most children, they’re easily distracted and resilient.”

Breaking from tradition, Prince Harry and his young family opted not to spend Christmas with William, Kate and the rest of the family at Sandringham, the Queen's Norfolk estate but instead opted to celebrate the holiday in Vancouver Island, Canada. And sure look, none of us really know how much time the Cambridges and the Sussexes spend together behind closed doors, but according to a spokesperson for Meghan and Harry, the decision to travel abroad for Christmas had nothing to do with family issues, but rather a wish the couple had to visit a country close to their hearts.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are spending private family time in Canada,” said the spokesperson in a statement, adding that “the decision to base themselves in Canada reflects the importance of this Commonwealth country to them both. The Duke of Sussex has been a frequent visitor to Canada over many years, and it was also home to The Duchess for seven years before she became a member of the Royal Family. They are enjoying sharing the warmth of the Canadian people and the beauty of the landscape with their young son.”
