Katie Price devastated as her horse dies in tragic accident

Katie Price has shared her upset on Instagram over the passing of her beloved horse.

The mother-of-five is well-known for her love of horses, as well as her children's love for attending riding lessons and going on countryside treks and now this horrific news has taken the family by surprise.

Sharing in an emotional post, the 39-year-old wrote: "Last night our friends horses including one of ours escaped from their field and ran onto the road, we are devastated. We are extremely upset to find out one of our horses was killed last night being hit by a car."

We are extremely upset to find out one of our horses was killed last night being hit by a car and don't appreciate that someone was circulating pictures of our horse dead in the road and put on Facebook! Thank god the driver of this car was very lucky and escaped and wish him well, police were amazing and so was the local community and thank them all ! Our friends other 4 horses thank god are alive with a couple of them injured and are still being treated by the vet and will be ok ! We are in shock still and reminds me again of the time in Argentina when I was involved in a horrific car accident when the car I was in killed two horses that died in my arms ??

She continued to explain her upset when pictures of the dead horse then began to circulate online, "I don't appreciate that someone was circulating pictures of our horse dead in the road and put on Facebook!" Katie added that thankfully the driver of the car remained unharmed and that she too knows the trauma of hitting an animal. Katie was involved in an accident in Argentina last year that killed two horses.

"We are in shock still and reminds me again of the time in Argentina when I was involved in a horrific car accident when the car I was in killed two horses that died in my arms" her caption read. Many have taken to the social media site, sharing their love with the model, with one caption reading: "Sorry to read this Katie I hope the sweet baby didn't suffer and the other two horses get better soon, it is heartbreaking when we loose a beloved pet hope everyone is fine now thinking of you and your friend and also the poor driver it must have been such a shock to them also. Stay safe."
