Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling wed secretly in Dublin last month. The couple, who have been dating since 2017, tied the knot in secret in November according to The Sun, who obtained a copy of their marriage certificate. “Iain and Laura are so in love, they really wanted to get married as soon as possible," a source told the publication. “Despite circumstances not being ideal, it was such a romantic day." The couple wed in a humanist ceremony in Dublin's City Hall on November 11. In line with Ireland's Covid-19 restrictions at the time, they married in front of 25 guests including Laura’s half-brother Adam and Iain’s sister Kirsten, who acted as witnesses. Laura and Iain met at a party in 2016 and starting dating one year later. The Love Island host and comedian initially tried to keep their relationship to themselves, as Laura flew over to the reality TV set in secret. She said at the time that although she thought she had gotten away with it, everybody knew they were seeing each other. “We tried to keep it as quiet as possible at the beginning," she said. "I remember going to Majorca and not telling anyone, even though I know most of the crew. "If anyone had seen me they’d be like, ‘What the hell is Laura doing here?’ I thought nobody knew, but it turned out everyone did. At the time I was like, ‘We totally got away with that.' "We’d been together for four or five months before we put anything on our social media," she went on. "I think at that point we were both like, ‘Should we just own it?’And then once you put it out there, no one gives a shit. People only care when they don’t know something." Laura and Iain moved in together in 2018. They got engaged earlier this year, after Laura began presenting Love Island in South Africa. Similar to their early relationship, they opted to keep their wedding under wraps, only arousing suspicion when Iain appeared on Loose Women with a ring on his finger.
