Lauren Richardson Speaks Out About THAT Zayn Malik Photograph

Lauren Richardson, the 26-year-old who sparked cheating rumours when she was pictured with Zayn Malik in Thailand back in March, has finally spoken out about THAT photograph. Ahead of her appearance on reality show Love Island, she told the Mail Online that everyone jumped to the wrong conclusion and nothing happened between her and the former One Direction star. This is the picture that sparked rumours (image: Twitter). She explained: “It just got blown out of proportion. The picture was just a picture. “They were in the VIP Section and I managed to get in there… I went over to ask for a picture. There was no problem and I took the picture. “I then posted the picture and it just went absolutely mental. So there’s no juicy story behind it which I think everyone was dying to hear. It’s just a picture.” Lauren will be in Love Island (image: ITV). Lauren, who hopes to show the public the real her, also admitted that she wasn’t prepared for the backlash from 1D fans. She said: “It was really intense because when I put the picture up they just kind of shouted out ‘We hate you’ and ‘You should die, you’re a home wrecker.’” After the snap was posted, Zayn took to Twitter to defend himself and denied allegations that he cheated on his fiancée Perrie Edwards.
