Lea Michele welcomes a baby girl after miscarriage heartache

Lea Michele is officially a mum-of-two

The former Glee star gave birth to a healthy baby girl and gave her the sweetest name.

The now mum-of-two confirmed her daughter's arrival on Instagram this weekend.

She also revealed her name is Emery Sol.

She captioned the image: "Our hearts are so full. Emery Sol Reich."

The name Emery is of both German and British origins. The moniker means 'powerful' and 'ruler', making it the perfect choice for the mum's little girl.

Michele is also a mum to son Ever, who was born in August 2020.

The birth of her daughter comes after Michele suffered harrowing back-to-back miscarriages.

The mum opened up about the heartbreaking losses in an interview on Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt’s podcast BDA Baby.

The Broadway star suffered two early pregnancy losses after her son Ever was born.

 “I had never had a miscarriage before. The first one, I was like, ‘That was weird’.

“When it happened again right away, I was like, ‘Wait a second. Something is wrong.'”

The Glee star and her husband stopped trying when she started working on Funny Girl but she had another miscarriage shortly after.

“I was working at the time. It was super challenging to…process what we were experiencing at the same time, which was very painful,” she shared.
