Love Island’s Megan Barton-Hanson responds to claims that Wes Nelson cheated on her

Love Island's Megan Barton-Hanson has hit back at the claims her boyfriend, Wes Nelson, cheated on her.

The 24-year-old shared a message she had received from a social media user, which claimed Wes had been unfaithful after a public appearance. The DM read:

"I'm from Worcester and Wes did an appearance. "Apparently he has slept with a girl called [name redacted] and they have signed a contract to keep it a secret."

Megan was quick to put an end to the allegations, calling the accusation "pure sh*te".

Alongside a laughing emoji, she wrote [via the Mirror], "I get dm's chatting pure s***e." The couple, who came in fourth on this series of the summer reality TV staple, had their share of ups and downs while in the villa - but have appeared to be going from strength to strength since the show came to an end. It comes as Megan told Her that she believes leaving the Love Island villa with Wes made things a lot easier afterwards, as they now have each other as they head into the new stages of their life. The islander also admitted that her relationship with Wes is stronger than ever, however, is well aware that not all Love Islandcouples are living the same fairytale and that doesn't surprise her one bit. As the tally of Love Island splits has now reached five, with the last being Georgia and Sam, Megan reveals it didn't shock her. She said:

"I'm not surprised... when you're living in the villa, it's a retreat and when you're out you've got this job to do and that job to do and it's all so overwhelming trying to navigate your way through it so, it's not really a shock."
