Love Island’s Megan Barton Hanson slams back at online troll who labelled her a ‘slut’

Love Island's Megan Barton Hanson is making sure cruel online trolls don't get away with bullying her online.

In the latest cyber attack against the star, Megan was slut-shamed and then called a "disgusting human". Sharing the comment on her Instagram stories, it read:

"I actually cannot handle how much of a slut you are. "Like legit watching this season and you ruin the whole thing for me. "Such a disgusting human, you don't deserve anything."

Megan then fought back with a clever response saying:

"Don't worry babe, you don't have to handle it, Wes Nelson can."

The 26-year-old then wrote another comment at the end of the screenshot saying:

"Amber Rose taught me #slutwalk2018 #slutshaming."

Since leaving Love Island, Megan has had her fair share of online abuse and slut-shaming for her previous career as a stripper. Speaking about her past on her Instagram account as she tries to move forward, Megan explained:

"Your past doesn’t dictate your future. For so long I placed a ceiling on myself, my self-doubt convincing me that I wasn’t enough, that I couldn’t be who I dreamed of being."

Continuing, the star wrote:

"Own your past, don’t let anyone make you feel ashamed of who you are or what you have been through to get there. I’m finally starting to love myself and it feels good. Thank you, everyone,e for your support, I promise to use this opportunity to spread the word of positivity, self belief and female empowerment."

And Megan isn't the only Islander to come out of the villa and feel the heat of online trolls.
