Love Island’s Olivia Buckland shares the first snap from her wedding to Alex Bowen

It's the first ever Love Island wedding.

Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen who met on the 2016 series of ITV's Love Island, tied the knot over the weekend in Essex in a lavish ceremony packed with plenty of well-known faces. Taking to Instagram this morning, Olivia shared the first image from her wedding, captioning it:

"FINALLY! Our beautiful exclusive photos we chose for @ok_mag will be out in tomorrow’s issue! Can’t wait for you all to see the dress, the suits, the flowers EVERYTHING! 20 pages of the best day of our lives to share with you."

The image, which is on the cover of OK! magazine, was taken from the evening of their big day and shows Olivia in a lace dress with a sheer back. Alongside the pair in the image is best man, Pete Wicks and made of honour, Gabby Allen. Speaking to the publication about their special day, Alex recalled the moment he saw Olivia for the first time in her dress.

"I cried when I looked at her. I was actually crying before she got out of the car!"

While Olivia added:

"When we saw each other we just burst into tears. I was really trying to hold it together and compose myself, because I didn’t want to fully lose it."

Olivia and Alex came second in the series in 2016 and since, they've been going from strength to strength. Speaking to us exclusively last year, Olivia explained the difficulty of continuing a relationship post-Love Island.

"Coming out of the house after your relationship was under full scrutiny from the public is hard but trust is so important to make things work and I think you really need to believe in your partner. Alex and I are lucky because we have that trust and that's why we work."

Olivia and Alex got engaged in December of 2016 - recalling the moment she said "I do" in NYC as "magical". Cute!
