Madonna celebrates daughter Lourdes’ birthday with sweet post

Madonna has celebrated her eldest daughter Lourdes' 21st birthday with a series of sweet photos.

The iconic musician took to social media on October 14 to share her heartwarming birthday message across three photos. The first two photos showed the University of Michigan student in various locations across the globe, before she posted a sweet throwback  pic of the mother-daughter duo. The 59 year old wrote:

"Whether you are In Cuba... Or in Kenya... Or in our own backyard... You are always in my heart."

The mum-of-six shares Lourdes with her ex Carlos Leon. And while her kids are getting older, Madonna recently admitted that being a parent hasn't gotten any easier for her. She previously told People:

“I had this funny notion that when your children get older, they learn to take care of themselves and it gets easier. “But actually, the older they get, the more challenging it gets — because now they’re becoming adults, and they really need guidance.”

And the singer told how she hasn't shied away from offering guidance to her kids, even if it is tough love. She added:

“I’m bad-cop, I’m the one that says no. “I accept that role. I’m not the popular parent.”
