Things got a bit awkward after this photo of Jonathan Cheban and Martha Stewart

Jonathan Cheban, who is best friends with Kim Kardashian and also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother this year, is probably known to a lot of people, especially those in showbiz. But his name seems to have passed one person in particular. Jonathan was at a Daily Mail party in Cannes, along with a whole host of other celebrities such as the cast of Made in Chelsea, Charlotte Crosby, Amber Rose, Jason Derulo and Blac Chyna. While partying he got chatting to Martha Stewart and was having a great night. He tweeted a picture of the two of them together saying they were laughing for hours. You would think from looking at the caption and the photo that these two really knew each other.

But while Jonathan thought they were having great craic and getting on like a house on fire, it left Martha a little confused. She hadn't a clue who he was. He informed her that he was well known but she still didn't know who he was so she went on a Twitter mission to find out who 'this guy' was. She said, "do you know this guy?? He says he is well known."

After being told by her fans that he was Jonathan, the best friend of Kim Kardashian, she shared another photo saying, "Better photo of Jonathan who is very famous bff of the Kardashians. Who knew!"

Speaking to The Daily Mail that night, Jonathan admitted to being a huge fan of Martha's and joked about the awkward first encounter saying:

"We had dinner at the same table which was fun. I'm obsessed with her, she's so gorgeous. She does not watch the Kardashians which is funny She tweeted a picture of me just for fun then everyone went nuts. I just got like 37 google alerts about this story about Martha and me!" "I actually gave her some advice on where to go eat out here. I've got some good places too that Martha doesn't know about! It's very fun to give Martha Stewart advice."

Speaking about not knowing Jonathan, Martha said:

"I had no idea who Jonathan was because I don't watch the Kardashians, I mean I know who the Kardashians are, I'm a great admirer. I never knew who he was, so I got to know him!"
