Eric Roberts and his wife Niamh are officially parents

Niamh gave birth to a healthy baby boy on January 1st, but the new parents admitted they found it hard to pick the right name for their son.

They eventually settled on the name Rían and the Irish moniker has an incredibly special meaning.

The name Rían has become one of the most popular Irish names with new parents.

It means 'little king' making it one of the sweetest options for your baby boy.

Speaking about his first week as a dad, Eric said he feels both overjoyed and incredibly tired.

He said: "Rían is one week old today, never been more happy & equally exhausted in our lives."

The new dad said he is "loving every second" of fatherhood so far.

He praised his followers for all their loving messages since the birth of their baby boy.

He added: "Thank you for all the amazing messages, we are just enjoying our bubble this week."

Eric announced the birth of his son on Instagram by sharing a moving video on TikTok.

Alongside the photos of the new parents cuddling their baby boy, Eric wrote: "Our baby boy was born at 9:06AM 1/1/25…mother and son doing amazing."
