Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have paid tribute to Princess Diana on their Instagram.

On Friday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced on Instagram that they were going to be sharing some of their favourite quotes on the platform. To begin, they shared an inspiring quote from Princess Diana, Harry's late mother. It read:

“Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you."

The royal couple explained in the caption how "words have the power to inspire", so they were going to be sharing some of their favourite quotes. They continued:

"From members of the public to public figures, from teachers and students to young leaders, we begin with a quote from Diana, Princess of Wales."

Prince Harry previously said he thought his mum would have loved his now-wife, Meghan. In their first interview after their engagement, Harry said he thought they would have been "thick as thieves, without question." He continued:

“I think she would be over the moon, jumping up and down, so excited for me. But I think she would have been best friends with Meghan.”

Harry proposed with a ring that included two diamonds from Diana's personal collection, to keep his mum "with us on this crazy journey together."
