Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have shared the first photo of their son

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have shared the first photo of their little boy. The couple welcomed their son into the world in the early hours of Monday morning. Baby Sussex was born at 5.26am, weighing 7lb 3oz. Talking to the press soon after the birth, the Duke of Sussex gushed about how their new arrival was "to die for." He said:

"We’re both absolutely thrilled and so grateful for all the love and support out there. It’s been amazing."

He added that they they were still thinking of names for their little one, but "we'll see you in two days so everyone can see the baby." Now, the couple - who celebrate their first wedding anniversary later this month - have shared the first glimpse at their little boy.  In a photo call today at St. George's Hall in Windsor Castle, Meghan told press that she has "the two best guys in the world." Talking about what it was like to become a mum, she said:

"It's magic, it's pretty amazing, and I have the two best guys in the world so I'm really happy."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to have had a private photocall with a small number of media organisations to capture the first images of their son to share with the world. Meghan Markle, a former Hollywood actress, married Prince Harry in May 2018 after a whirlwind romance. Harry proposed to the Suits star in November 2017 after 15 months of dating with a stunning three stone ring that includes two diamonds from Princess Diana's personal jewellery collection. They shared the news that they were expecting their first child in October of last year after arriving in Australia to undertake a joint royal tour. At the time, they said:

"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019. Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public".
