Meghan Trainor has annoyed a lot of people with her stance on voting

Another day, another drama involving Meghan Trainor.

It can't be easy being a pop star, especially if you're a young female. Juggling the pressure of maintaining a successful career along with the constant media spotlight fame brings must be extremely difficult, and I don't doubt that many young stars probably feel like climbing the walls. One star that's coming under fire is Meghan Trainor. The American starlet recently had an interview with Billboard magazine, appearing on the front cover of the publication but it was the contents of her comments that have seriously riled people up. The 22-year-old gave her thoughts on the upcoming presidential election, confessing her vote would go to Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton.

"I should be way more aware, and if it was [Clinton] or Trump, I'd definitely vote for her."

But it was the next sentence that Meghan spoke that has shocked and disgusted many, given her role model status to many girls across America and indeed the world.

"But I've never voted and I don't have any desire to."

The shocking confession from the pop star angered many people and they took to Twitter to condemn the singer's ignorance of current affairs.
