Mindy writes and stars in The Mindy Project.  The writer is currently in production for the fourth season of her sitcom The Mindy Project, and admitted that her busy lifestyle often means that her uniform is pretty simple. Speaking to Yahoo! Style, Mindy admitted: “At a certain point, there’s only one way to dress as a comedy writer. “You end up dressing like a hot L.A. guy: boyfriend jeans, Stan Smiths, and a grey t-shirt.” Mindy opened up about her fashion hacks.  However, the 36-year-old admitted that when she does glam up, she goes all out, and revealed how she transforms high street outfits to look like designer threads. Mindy explained that when she attended a wedding recently, she replaced the faux copper buttons with something heavier to create a more expensive look. Mindy at the LA premiere for Disney Pixar's Inside Out.  She said: “It’s an old trick". “I had tweed separates from Reiss. I replaced the hardware on it and people thought it was a Chanel skirt suit—which I could never afford. And I do well! I don’t know who can afford Chanel.” Excuse us while we dig out the sewing kit!
