Modern Family star slams Sofia Vergara as the ‘rudest’ celebrity they’ve ever met

A co-star has spilled the beans

Sofia Vergara is perhaps the biggest star to come out of the show, but Kelly Mantle revealed that her experience of Vergara was not the most pleasant.

During an appearance on The Bald and the Beautiful podcast, Mantle was quizzed as to who the rudest celeb she had ever come across was.

The 48-year-old former Drag Race contestant revealed that her on-set experience with Vergara was not one to treasure after she appeared in an episode titled 'The Last Halloween' in 2019

“Maybe it was just a bad day, I’m just going to say it was a bad day,” Mantle said.

“Because she’s hilarious and beautiful and talented and gorgeous and wonderful. So I’m sure it was just a bad day.”

“It wasn’t toward me, it was the way some of her staff was being treated,” she continued.

Mantle explained how in one part of the episode, Vergara is wearing a wig, but refused to have bobby pins put in to help keep it in place.

“In the shot, they yell ‘action’, and I’m supposed to put the crown on her hair, so I put the crown on and they say ‘cut’,” Mantle said.

“And she’s like ‘watch out for the wig, you’re putting the crown on my head’. And I said, ‘Well girl, you should have put those bobby pins in.’”

However, Mantle went on to say that this wasn't the only incident that led to her conclusion of Vergara, as there was 'more than one' incident.
