Between the years 1990 and 2001, Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise were married. During that time, the pair starred in some movies, made some headlines, and adopted some children in the form of Isabella Jane and Connor Anthony. Their marriage met its end at the turn of the century when Cruise filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. At the time, Kidman reportedly stated that she was "shocked" by the proceedings. She also later said that she "still loved" Tom, telling Ladies' Home Journal: "He was huge; still is. To me, he was just Tom, but to everybody else, he is huge." Recently, however, a few photos of Kidman after finalising her divorce from Cruise have been doing the rounds online. The photos have sparked a bit of a conversation online too, less about how class Kidman's early '00s outfit is, and more about what her marriage to a member of the Church of Scientology must have been like towards the end. After the couple divorced, it was later claimed in a documentary that the church's executive director had been asked to "facilitate" the breakup between Tom and Nicole. Cruise's auditor also said that the actor had asked him to wiretap his wife when they were still together. Kidman wasn't the only ex of Cruise's who appeared to be at least slightly pleased to be newly divorced from the actor. In 2012, Katie Holmes emerged from her lawyer's office looking pretty happy after finalising her divorce from Cruise. The pair had been married for five years and have one daughter together, Suri.
